Serving Opportunities

Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church offers a number of ways for congregants and guests to get involved. When we find ways to participate in the life of the church we truly begin to Build Community Where God Is At The Center!

Here are a few ways you help:

Help with Sunday Morning Worship: Our congregants play a huge role in our Sunday Morning worship, and we are always looking for more people who would like to help. If you would like to help during worship consider volunteering as a Lector, Assisting Minister, or Usher. We also have a number of amazing choirs for those who would like to share their musical talents. If you’d like to help with Worship please contact Phil Holzman at [email protected].

If you are interested in Hospitality on Sunday morning maybe you’d like to host our Fellowship Hour after worship, or serve as one of our Greeters before worship. We also have volunteers who provide rides to congregants who can not drive. If you’d like to help with Sunday Morning hospitality please contact [email protected]

 

aFaith Formation: Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church offers a number of Faith Formation opportunities to its congregants, and we always welcome individuals who would like to help with these ministries. Congregants are invited to serve as Sunday School Teachers, Confirmation Mentors & Chaperones, Bible & Brews hosts, and Adult Study leaders. If you would like to help with our Faith Formation Ministry, please contact [email protected]

Committees: Our committees make ministry at GA happen. Each committee is made up of individuals who want to focus on particular areas of ministry, and offer leadership so that we may continue to Build Community Where God Is At The Center.

Other Opportunities:

• Dinner Bell (Meals on Wheels) – Deliver meals to shut-ins. If you would like to know more about driving for Meals on Wheels contact our congregational coordinator, Kathy Schuette, at .612-720-3806.
• Sheridan Story – Deliver weekend meals to kids at Waite Park elementary. (Active only during school year.) If you are interested, please contact [email protected]
